[muglo] Opening ".cwk" files

Can an OSX's AppeWorks "cwk" suffixed file be opened in OS 9.0 
running on a beige G3?

The details:
A letter typed in Appleworks on my daughters G3(4?) iBook running OSX 
(and who has not yet got a printer), emailed to me (although I don't 
know whether it was via AppleMail or hotmail under IE) and retrieved 
on my G3 running Eudora under OS 9.0 would not open.

I believe the cause may be the file type, which the suffix shows to be "cwk"
Can anyone tell me how to open this file?
