[muglo] Odd Behavior - Moving Files

Just a question for you knowledgeable folk.  Whenever I try to move a 
file from my desktop to another disk or folder I am left with the 
original file on the desktop which I then have to manually delete.  Is 
there an option somewhere that I've turned on that is causing this?  
The OS is 10.3.9.
