Apple Mac UK Chat. It's a Yahoo Group (unfortunately).
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AppleMacUKChat/

This is a bit of a splinter group from another (very large, I think)
UK Mac group. This group split off to form their own group because of
some dissatisfaction with the larger group. I don't know the details
because I joined this group after it happened, but the members
sometimes refer to the original group.

I might mention that the members of this (smallish) group are are on
exceedingly familiar terms with each other, so sometimes the list can
seem like a chatroom. At the same time, the members are also very
welcoming and friendly to anyone who joins. When the traffic gets too
busy, or when there are a lot of messages on subjects I'm not
interested in, (like cars!) I just delete without reading.

My main interest in the list is the fact that the two list-owners,
Nigel and Gary, are very generous in the provision of timely, expert
Mac help and info. (Also, two of the finest people I have ever
encountered on the 'net. :-)

Cheers, (as the Brits would say)

Mary
