Congratulations on your find. HP laserjets are undoubtedly the cream of the
cream of the crop.

Anyway, my first search on Google (hp laserjet 4l mac os x) pulled up the
relevant HP website (for the sake of my own curiosity I wanted to verify
someone else's claim that the 4L did not work on Mac).

Drivers exist for all flavours of Mac OS and I *strongly* suspect that the
basic LaserWriter 8 printer driver (for PostScript printers) will work for
this printer (you just need the appropriate PDF to access special features
(printer definition file... wish Adobe had chosen something else as the
acronym for portable document format)).
