[muglo] OS9 B&W slowdown: a plot?

well, after much testing and web research, it seems as though some 
B&W machines _are_  just slow in OS9. In X, things are zippy.  _Much_ 
faster than my tower clone in X. And, surprisingly, in classic mode 
running the apps that are slow in 9xx, the B&W is just as fast as it 
is in X native.
So this leads me to conclude that Apple must have made the later Rev 
B&W _purposely_ slow in 9xx. So we'd all upgrade to X. (lol)

I am impressed by the speed of the B&W in X and classic, but, at the 
same time, I am dismayed by it's slowness in 9xx

Still, if one wanted to upgrade to X and use classic for 9xx-only 
apps, the B&W is a good choice, I think. (and super good prices right 
now, too, esp in toronto)
