[muglo] Re: OS X Problem

I had a similar problem with Staples Relay brand thumb drives. I
also had a problem these these same drives not accepting a whole host
of different characters. In addition, I had problems with Verbatim
thumb drives.

The thumb drive I've found works the best for me in OS 10.3.9 is the
Lexar Jump Drive, 512 MB. The Lexar doesn't accept the forward slash
[/] in a file heading, but I think that's pretty standard.

Troubleshooting Mac OS X, available from www.xlab.com, has a lot of
advice on dealing with the "Spinning Beach Ball of Death," SBBOD, but
it looks like you've solved the problem. The book says one cause may
be insufficient RAM.
