You don't say what OS you are using. In OS X look in Sys Prefs.

Network
Show: Built-in Ethernet
PPPoE
PPPoE Options
You should find a checkbox: "Prompt every _ min to maintain connection"

Uncheck it.

If yer using OS 8 or 9, or if my OS X directions don't fix it, we'll try again.
