Yep, you got it. Pop in your "OS 10.2 Installer CD, disk 1" in OS X (or OS
9). Open the installer application on it. It will restart. Then, select the
HD and erase disk (unless you have stuff on the disk you'd absolutely like
to keep).

You will have to set up your account as per before.

I'm partial to wiping out OS X 10.1.4 in its entirety as opposed to doing a
piece-meal upgrade.

PS One really neat feature added to 10.2 is the ability to do an "Archive
and Install" option. This will back-up the old OS to a folder and install
the new OS.
