I would recommend staying *away* from 3.0, even if installing it off the CD
is more convenient than downloading 4.05a. It's a distinctly older version
of Acrobat, and you'll find that there are a number of PDFs that simply will
not open with 3.0 that will with 4.0 and beyond. Plus, there's the advantage
that 4.05a is significantly more stable (and faster (than 5.0 too)) than
3.0.
