Do you know what, I've never considered that as a way to deal with spam ;)
Under the View menu you can turn off the "Preview Pane" (or use command-\)
whenever you don't want to read the message as you click on the title.

All messages are archived so that you can view them at any time by
going to <http://www.freelists.org/archives/muglo>
