[muglo] Microtek ScanMaker E3 Plus - Obituary

I regret to report that my attempts to get the ScanMaker E3 Plus 
working have prematurely ended due to the unit being terminally 
damaged. I was using a small screwdriver to change the ID setting on 
the selector dial when, after I applied a bit too much pressure, 
something snapped and the plastic dial block slipped into the scanner. 
Now when it is turned on the scanning mechanism endlessly runs back and 
forth, and the scanner is no longer displayed in the system profile. I 
don't think it's worth fixing.

So the scanner will now join an assortment of stereos, radios, cordless 
phones, printers, batteries, etc. destined for the recycling depot on 
Manning Drive.

Ross, there is obviously no need now to contact its original owner for 
suggestions on how to get the scanner working.
