I would never spend the money on replacing the DVD-CDRW with a DL  
Superdrive. You can get a 5.25" external case at cutting edge; USB 2  
or Firewire; for $30 - $65 & install a DL DVD for $34-$37. Purchase a  
Firewire cable for about $20 from Forest City Surplus, although some  
cases come with the FW cable. This system is transferable from  
computer to computer, is easier to operate than an internal,  
especially when copying a DVD, or CD.
