Votes have trickled to a standstill, and since it's really not a contest and a few more votes won't change the results much, I've closed the polls. The final results can be viewed at: http://groups.google.com/group/muglo?hl=en Scroll down the page to 'Files' and select 'Mac applications survey .pdf' They are listed by votes received. The link will take you to an info/download website. There is also an Excel version of the file if you want to play around with it(sort alphabetically, etc) Some personal observations: 1. The Apple ads are correct. A new Mac is quite productive right out of the box with the included software. 2. There are more programs available for Mac than I imagined. Certainly more than 20 years ago! 3. As long as you're not involved in professional graphics, most software is quite affordable. 4. Some of the neatest apps require fairly new machines to run. Maybe the next survey should list system requirements. 5. It's been a chore, but I enjoyed it. I hope the info provides some spirited discussion at the meeting and forum. > > > --- > MUGLO information at <http://www.freewebs.com/muglo> > Manage your account options at <//www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi > > > > > Wayne Dobson pwdobson@xxxxxxxxxx (519) 474-1253 res.
