 From the above, it sounds like you are using a label printer with tapes.
Are you using inkjet or laser for your standard sheet output? If you 
are just printing a few labels such as ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE, ACCOUNTS 
PAYABLE ETC., then it doesn't justify buying a roll of label 
material. For just an occasional label, perhaps a bond paper output, 
cut out with an Exacto knife and ruler (if you have) or scissors if 
you haven't, along with a glue stick for permanent adhesion or rubber 
glue for temporary adhesion would do the trick.

More convenient for larger quantities of labels might be the Avery 
Labels that come in either 8.5" x 11" or the smaller package of 4.25" 
x 5.5" (if you can find them). If you are using a laser system, BE 
SURE TO USE LASER LABELS. Laser printers use a fair amount of heat 
and I have known of cases where these labels came off inside the 
lasers and copiers and a service call is warranted.
