[muglo] Re: MS IE and their default web page

I doubt if it will have much effect - professional pride no doubt on
behalf of the web master!! I had a similar problem with a Health
Insurance company. I was interested in seeing my exact coverage; when
I contacted them, they said they would send me a password so that I
could look at it online. Unfortunately my ID number (9 digits) began
with a 0 (zero); when I entered the required info and used the submit
button it came back with unknown ID!! When I looked carefully, I
noticed that when hitting the Submit button, the 0 was stripped off and
hence the ID being incorrect!! I looked at the web page Source and
found that it was being entered as a character string and then
converted to a numeric which obviously was stripping off 'leading
zeros'. I sent off a message to the web master and never had a reply
and I suspect a change has never been made - I lost interest and in
fact they finally sent me a copy of the information through the snail
mail!!! Progress in the Insurance business!!

All the best Eric in your quest!!
