Of course. I could keep my existing data/phone plan terms, however. If I changed my identity and walked in off the street as a new customer, I could get the 4S for $59.99. In effect, that's what they do, as the $300 broke down as $75 for not finishing my 36 months, $60 for the new contract and something more($50?) to transfer that new contract to me, plus dealer prep, freight, tax, rustproofing, and other mythical charges.

I take it the offer required you to sign up for another 3 year contract?

As a multiple-year Rogers customer and 31 months into a 36 month contract, they offered me the deal of the century: only $300 to upgrade my 3G to a 4S. Needless to say I won't be jumping on that deal! I bet they up the ante in 5 months when my contract expires.
