Like I said to Martin thanks for replying so quickly.
I had hoped that it  meant that the settings I had used on a 
particular database re- the type;Arial 10
or Times 10, Palatino 10 would be remembered by the printer and would 
be used every time.  Martin says not so that type has to be set every 
time you use the DB and want to vary the type used.
Thanks again and I enjoyed your course for beginners that was a while ago.
