OS? OS 8.?, 9.?, X 10.1.?, 10.2.? or 10.3.?
E-mail app? Version of AW?
What do you mean with "boom" sound? Is it one of the sounds you find in the
sound control panel/preferences pane? Is it an explosion or a musical note?
Do you have any non-Apple, non-Microsoft extensions/kernel extensions
installed?
Do you have a macro-programme installed? Or a key-capture app?
Also, is it possible that you turned on "easy access" or something like
that?
Finally, have you tried another keyboard (ADB or USB?). Could be a sticky
keyboard!
Eric.
