[muglo] Re: Internet Connect

I'm inclined not to blame MSN/Sympatico on this one. Connection problems
will not be related to the home pages used by Sympatico.

1. Are you using Sympatico software to connect to Sympatico? Or, are you
using OS X's software and have entered the telephone # and password (I
absolutely refuse to allow anything Sympatico on to my computer -- if it's
not build-in Mac OS it ain't touching my networking). I've done the latter
to access Sympatico's dial-up.

2. One easy way to find out if it's an easy problem to fix...
i. Create a new user account with full priviledges;
ii. Enable Fast User switching (or, if you want to do things the hard way,
don't);
iii. Switch to it (or log-out and back in);
iv. Set up your Networking preferences pane to dial-in to your Sympatico
access number, enter your username (B1xxxxx IIRC, or is it your username...
can't remember) and password that goes with it; and,
iv. Connect to the internet

If this works for you then you can start trouble-shooting your main account.

Eric.
