[muglo] Re: Intel implications?

Hello Ilbert,

Ric Ford has some observations that are relevant:

His summary:
"Bottom line? It will be a pain in the butt, but we'll just have to
deal with this gradual transition as part of the continuing evolution
of personal computing. It will undoubtably bring interesting (and
challenging) new technologies over the next few years, some of which we
can't even picture at the moment. It's the only competitive path to
better Mac performance, according to Jobs (at least in terms of "power
per watt") (that was actually performance per watt in Job's'
presentation-Biti). Apple's doing a U-turn out of a dead-end road, and
we expect a bumpy, but interesting, ride ahead."

Best,

Biti
