Hi Eric,
Banks?? Non-profit means that you have to have a Rev. Canada
official status & believe me we do not comply. The banks consider us a
business, as do ISPs; our fees were actually $288 + tax before
compensation for showing LWM little icon on the web site. Execulink, our
previous ISP wanted close to $580!!
As to TTS, that is one possibility that I am exploring with Arnie &
Terry of ISP.ca. Arnie was quite keen a few years ago, but many of our
members had their ISP costs paid for by employers & students/staff by
UWO, so there has to be enough members prepared to switch. Arnie was
also concerned about how much storage our site would need, but we had
only just started the web site so couldn't determine needs, now we know.
Paul & I have been exploring other avenues for years, but with the
need for funds to pay for 2004 (in Dec 2003) I felt it was time to ask
members to chip in. If we find a less expensive ISP it just means that
the funds extend the years we are able to operate.
TTFN,
TeeC
