Hi guys.  The out-ot-towner is gonna ramble a bit.

I run a national association for some software.  It's a small group, but I
have about 30 members.  It's a free organization, but getting interest is
usually key online.  I run a mailing list and we've actually had a meeting
of 6 or 7 people in Toronto:

I have some ideas about resources, as I've had to manage the same things as
well.  It's good to see some numbers rising, but it's even better to drop
costs.  It stretches out over many years that way.  Change in technology and
the landscape allows us to do this.

If you look at your costs, the main one is the bank account.  Why can't
someone just absorb that?  President?  It's $60 a year just to say hello?
Why?  

Secondly, leverage your status into working with other peripheral companies.
I have one in particular that I can work with, and not only will it provide
an excellent service to those in London, but probably get us some free
space, or amongst the club members.

Thirdly, pool your resources so there's value to joining the club.  Put up a
page where notifications can be read.  Students for hire, job postings,
hardware for sale, etc.  Any small service, $5 or $10.
