[muglo] Formatting PC Zips in Mac Format

Is it true you can format PC 250 MB Zips in the Mac format?  Is the 
quality just as good as the ones that come pre-formatted for Mac?  In 
my Sad Macs book (2000), it notes some controversy regarding 
formatting Zips, but I don't know if that has since been resolved.

If you do format PC Zips in the Mac format, what method to you use? 
The reason I ask is that PC Zips are much cheaper than the Mac 
formatted ones.  Pls advise.  Thanks.
