[muglo] Re: Firewire Transfer of Files

Save yourself the risk of screwing things up with FireWire (don't know if 
it's dangerous at all)! Use a "cross-over" ethernet cable and network the 
computers with 10BaseT ethernet (since the 6400 only does 10BaseT). It's not 
as fast as FireWire but unless you're transferring multi-gigabyte files on a 
regular basis it's perfectly fine.

PS Cross-over ethernet cables can be had for $6 or 7 at your local computer 
store (including <shudder> FutureSlop).
