I've used Entourage for a few years now and it's a great solution for me...
Outside of the odd nasty character formatting bug that turns quotes and
other punctuation into what seems to be ASCII-code equivalents, it's never
failed me. To solve the punctuation problem, avoid using HTML which seems to
make this bug worse.

As for Browser defaults, I use iCab, Safari, IE and Netscape on a regular
basis (all under 10.2) and I have no problems loading my "Google" home page
settings. All I can think of here is that if you "imported" any settings
when installing new browsers, the MSN setting may have followed. Make sure
you check the home page setting in preferences for all the browsers you use
and also, YEAH I KNOW IT SOUNDS STUPID, MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE SETTINGS
BEFORE EXITING so you don't undo the very changes you've tried to make

Finally, as discussed here before, in OS 10 to 10.2, you have an "Internet &
Networking" section in Systems Preferences (this apparently is not the case
in 10.3??) which you should open, click on the "web" tab and set both your
default browser and home page for all the browsers you use. To me, this
falls CLEARLY on Apple and not Microsoft... A master setting that can
overwrite the settings you make in the application seems dumb to me and
indeed, is a little "hummm" from me to those of you always trashing
Microsoft and Gates while blindly worshiping at the "Applistic Church of
Jobs".
