[muglo] Epson C64 Printer Problem

Today my Epson C64 printer decided not to work, i.e. when attempting to
print I get a message informing me that there is a problem with my printer.
I first trashed the prefs file in case it had become corrupted, but that
didn¹t work. It may be a mechanical problem, but I¹m not ready to concede
that.
I next attempted to re-install the printer driver from the disk that came
with the printer, but each attempt ended up with a message reporting errors
during installation.

I then decided to download a new printer driver from the Epson website. It
turns out that instead of the usual driver, Epson now offers C64 users
(using Mac OS 2.x or later) something called EasyPrint. I downloaded it but
each time I attempt to install it, after enterng my administrator password,
a message box informs me that I must have administrator privileges, or
higher, to install. But, of course, I am the administrator and there is no
higher authority on my computer.

What¹s going on here? Maybe this is a roundabout way of telling me that my
printer is toast!!
