[muglo] Re: Entourage Display Failure

Problem seems to have been corrected by this work-around:

I imported into Mail my Entourage Inbox. When this process was concluded I
attempted to delete one of the offending messages from the imported files
and there was a msg stating that the file had not completed downloading from
the server.

That gave me the idea to go to my server site and check my mail at its
source. I did this and deleted all the problem files from the server. (I
have set my Entourage preferences such that mail remains on the server for 1
day before being deleted.)

On returning to my Entourage Inbox I found that I was able to both display
the complete problem files (such as one from chapters.indigo.ca) but also ti
delete the with no difficulty.

If the problem recurs I will, of course, go directly to the server and
delete the problem files!

One serendipitous result of this experience was the idea to create a new
mailbox in Entourage for a large number of "Google Alerts" messages that
have accumulated in my Inbox over the past 6 months as part of a project I'm
working on. I then deleted these from the Inbox. It is just bit simpler to
have them all in the one mailbox. It also may not be a good idea to have a
large number (over 1900) accumulate in the Inbox!

Boring, eh?
