Only if you actually reply to a spammer's e-mail.
I believe that's what I said.

How do you share your USB connected internet connection? Is your
G3/500 the beast that's hooked up to the USB modem via the USB port
and then you share the internet connection using OS X's in-built
sharing software and a connection to an ethernet hub connected to the
ethernet port on the G3/500?
No. I go straight from the Cable modem into the router and then run
ethernet cable to each PC (which also provides a rudimentary firewall
as anyone trying to hack can only find the router. To do this you only
need to know the the IP address and enter it into the hub from any of
the PCs using the CD that comes with Router. A friend of mine uses
pretty much the same config. expect he runs wireless and has the same
reliability.

Of course, hi speed lite is "light" ;-). It is 2x dialup? 128 Kbps vs.
1.2 Mbps for slow ADSL lines (Sympatico High Speed Edition), 3 Mbps
for mid speed ADSL (some HSE lines) and 4 Mbps for a few ADSL lines
(Sympatico Ultra lines) and 3 Mbps for high speed cable.

For basic web browsing 128 Kbps is fast enough IMNSHO, though, I like
to be able to d/l a 700 MB ISO (disk image) in an hour ;-).
As usual Eric, a declaration for everyone else on what's fast enough
for "basic browsing" is indicative of why your "IMNSHO" needs to be a
little more "H": I'm not sure I know anyone who is only doing "basic
browsing" anymore! Moreover today's websites seem to all have
multi-item front pages with at least 40 "items" to download. Oh sure
you can toggle to not download images, but then you miss a lot of info.
128 is simply not fast enough anymore. That's why I use "Lite" at 256K
rather than than "Ultra Lite" at 128K... it's worth the extra $7./month
($26.95) to me. But even that is too slow when all the puters are on my
home net at the same time. Of course I'd prefer the the Hi-Speed
"Extreme" which is 5MB but at $46.95, it's a little too rich for me

Eric.
