[muglo] Re: Download problem

The joys of dial-up :-(. Either your connection is too flakey, your
ISP is over-burdened or FireFox's server is designed to feed high
speed downloads (the reality is that many people are now on some form
of high speed or other).

Try downloading iCab from http://www.icab.de and see if you can
download FireFox using the iCab web browser. Who knows, you may even
find that iCab fills a web browsing niche!

PS I presume you're not planning to use FireFox on your PPC 8500 b/c
FireFox requires Mac OS X. The only currently developed web browser
for Mac OS 9 is iCab. Mozilla.org actually goes as far as to recommend
iCab for people on OS 9 rather than their own Netscape/Mozilla
ancestors:
<http://www.mozilla.org/download.html>

"Looking for software for Mac OS 9?

Due to the lack of developer interest, build machines, compilers and
testing resources, the last mozilla.org software built for Mac OS 9
was Mozilla 1.2.1, released in December 2002. However, versions of our
software that old are not recommended for security reasons. Therefore,
for Mac OS 9 users, mozilla.org recommends iCab - which is, as far as
we know, the only graphical browser currently maintained for Mac OS
9."
