I have to agree with the previous digital camera post. I have a Fuji
3800 and can attest to the high quality of photos I got on my recent UK
trip. To conserve space on my 16 Meg memory card I set it to 2 Meg
pixels, instead of the 3.2 it's capable of. The quality of self printed
4" x 6" prints is amazing & the one I experimented with by printing 8" x
10" is astounding everyone that sees it.
I used Photoshop Elements 1.0 for some, especially those taken indoors
at the National Railway Museum and the resulting improvements are quite
magical; I did get some tips from a recent issue of Macworld.
I have been an avid photographer for 50 years and usually take a roll a
week in the summer, roll a month in winter, except at election time,
when the numbers increase dramatically! I normally use a Canon 1000NF
SLR camera, wide angle & 80-310 Tele lens and the weight and volume of
my digital camera compared with a well filled camera bag is dramatic.
I love my SLR, but would never go back to that route again. I have one
small complaint in that I find it difficult to focus well with the Fuji,
I used the "Auto" feature most of the time.
Hope this adds to the previous comments.
TTFN,
TeeC
