[muglo] DVD Reader for iBook

Having finally upgraded my OS X on the iBook from 10.3 to 10.3.9 I now find 
that the disc drive is a CD ROM (which I  should have checked before as I 
wished to read in DVDs)!
Is it possible/practical to replace the internal CD ROM by a DVD/CD Reader or 
alternatively use an external DVD Reader?  If so what type should one use and 
what sort of price is it?  Does it then use the ethernet port?  It would also 
be nice to be able to burn CDs!

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I really would like to use it for 
screencaps and cataloguing the contents of many DVDs!
