[muglo] DVD R+ vs R-

The R+ and R- indicate the direction of recording; the one records
from the inside-out, the other from the outside-in, but I can't
remember which is which. Regardless, the old machines are R- and the
newer machines are R+. The old machines only do R- but the new
machines can read either way usually. The biggest difference comes
when playing the DVD you make. If it ends up in a older DVD player,
the R+ won't read. If it is in a computer, by now most of them will
read either one. The other thing to consider if it is a a business
production-type like Power Point, some of the machines in businesses
are of the old type...Doug
