[muglo] Re: Corrupted Speechvoice in 10.3.8 Revisited

Well, if it were my machine, and I had ~4 GB or more of HD space free
I'd do an archive and install without hesitation. I'd also create a
user for me and keep the previous owners account as a back-up. Don't
forget to repair permissions before and after the archive and install.

The only thing to be concerned about when doing an A&I is that if any
applications have installed components into the System, they will
need to be re-installed. Everything else is preserved, and the
previous system is moved to a different folder on the disk in the
event you want to poke around with it. You will have to run software
update a couple of times as well. And repair permissions each time!
