[muglo] Canon Pixma MP 510

As a follow-up to my message below, I thought perhaps it was because 
I was using iPhoto instead of the program that comes with the 
printer.  However, I tried it in that application and I still get the 
same error messages:

on the printer itself:  Auto sheet feeder - there is no paper.

on the monitor I get an error #1000

I tried chosing front paper, instead of auto feed, but it made no 
difference,  Please advise.  Thanks.
