Just follow the on screen directions to create a "Calibration" for your 
monitor. If you don't like the resulting look of the monitor you can 
always revert to the automagical. The difference is how you'll see the 
colours of your photos on screen & the printer can be set to emulate 
those colours closely, something that you can't get from commercial 
photo printing, they average results.
This is the control that I mentioned in a previous post, very important 
to serious photographers, as is using the viewfinder, compared to the 
use of the LCD screen, the latter is a nono, although great for 
checking which shots to dump.
