[muglo] Re: Camera Zoom

Thanks a bunch , Tee .........as always you're a great resource of info
I was in at Mc Kittricks receiving some useful advice and shown the
Canon S1 IS (10 x Opt Zoom) at $700 or A75 at $400 (more in my range)
   . I think a 3 times optical zoom is all I'll ever need ?
I was also recommended the Canon 9900 scanner ? and the Bubble jet
Canon printers. I already have an Epsom 760 stylus printer and
wondering if I should opt for a CP 200 photo printer to supplement it -
or instead to upgrade to a superior Canon printer for photo and normal
print functions? I would like to be able to scan/print from slides,
negs and overheads if possible, and output to emails or CDs..

What would be ideal I suppose is a multi function printer, scanner and
photoprinter all in one - is there such a beast ? And would you
recommend one ?

I've been advised to steer clear of HP products - don't know why ? Less
compatible with Mac OS 10 ? You seem to have tracked down products that
are compatible ?

Where did you buy your camera etc ? I'd sooner buy from Mac Outpost,
McKittricks or Forest City Imaging than from a big box/discount outlet
where there's no aftersales service. I'm a photo novice and advanced
equipment I think would be lost on me :-)

Your continuing 'fatherly advice' appreciated - but perhaps that's an
unkind term, since I reached 74 yrs yesterday !!!

Cheers

Ilbert
