[muglo] Blue line down monitor

I purchased a 17" iMac (Intel) used earlier this year.  On Friday I  
saw that there is a bright blue line running from top to bottom of the  
monitor, is this the result of somebody banging it or other abuse or  
why do these things happen.  It does not prevent the use of the  
machine so it does not bother me from that end but it does bother me  
that employees are rough with equipment.
