I think to get the best experience with the iPhone a dot Mac account is
essential. It will do what an enterprise server does for the Blackberry,
without an enterprise server you don't have address book, e-mail syncing so I
don't agree with Wayne. I don't play games on the iPhone either and I
considered both and think that the iPhone serves my use better. Here are the
specs that Apple gives for the computer to be compatible with the iPhone
Mac system requirements
Mac computer with USB 2.0 port
Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later
iTunes 8.2 or later (free download from www.itunes.com/download)
iTunes Store account
Internet access
