Virtually the same with me when I switched. Bell Techs came out to a 
large switch box & totally disconnected my line, of course they had to 
come inside for me to prove to them that it wasn't me & they finally 
fixed the problem, about 4-5 days I think. They kept telling Arnie at 
ISP that it was his fault, but in the end said it was a clerical error 
in instructions to the onsite Tech.!! Of course there was no offer of 
compensation etc. for down time.
