[muglo] Re: Beg pardon! Help requested

Susan,

It's too bad that your friend is so narrow minded, to generalize and think
that all forwarded emails containing attachments are viruses. And for him to
further generalize and say that it "seems especially risky to accept these
when forwarded by someone who uses a Mac" is ludicrous.

Most viruses (or virii, or "bugs") that are forwarded are automatically
forwarded when the virus opens itself and runs on a PC. I don't know of any
Mac users that figure "well, I can't open this attachment, so I'll just
forward it on to all my friends in my address book".

Once again a case of a PC user thinking he can trust Microsoft for all his
security needs. If he were to invest in some decent anti-virus software, he
wouldn't need to worry about forwarded attachments.
