Final Cut Pro is a professional programme. It's just like Adobe Photoshop --
a professional programme. If people want 'consumer' versions, they can get
Apple's iDVD, iMovie or Corel PhotoPaint. This is no different from the
Windows world (though, because of that simplicity, it makes piracy on Mac
that much easier than on Winblows... probably why software manufacturers
prefer to write for Windoze... it may cost more in support costs, but they
have less to fear from 'rogue' copying).

My unscientific observations:
OS 9 and OS X live together very well. With a few notable exceptions Classic
apps work very well in OS X.
