I think that's the first issue to resolve similar is not the same. FMP 
is much more powerful than the AW database module so the features you 
may be looking for may not exist in AW.  Depending on what it is you 
wish to accomplish there may be a work around.

The first major difference is that AW is a flat file (you can't relate 
information from database to another), printing features are more 
limited in AW especially with fields and field contents, AW on OS X  
doesn't have the macro capabilities that are available to AW in classic 
mode, said macros are much less powerful than the scripting available 
in FMP but does allow for some interesting tricks, AW doesn't allow for 
the creation of buttons as does FMP. One thing AW does is present for 
the most part a WYSIWYG view which for summary type reports is nice, it 
is more WYSIWYG on screen than FMP where you you have to print the 
report to screen in order to see what it will look like.

Considering the cost of FMP vs AW ($300 vs $79) you in essence get what 
you pay for however that does not mean that AW is not useful or that in 
some cases is not the better tool to use.
