I finally figure out why my classic version of CD Spin Doctor didn't 
work on my G4 Tower.  Seems I have an incomplete version of OS 9 to use 
in classic mode.  I loaded Toast (with Spin Dr) onto my iMac 233 
running OS X 10.3.9  s l o o  o   o w  l y and got it to record, 
however I had no line input controls.  I'll need to install a good 
version of 9 on my tower and retry.  Also I could not get Audacity to 
work at all on the tower, haven't tried it on the iMac.  Not sure 
what's going on there.

I now have to relocate my stereo so the cables can reach my upgraded G3 
-> G4 desktop (with good version of 9!) and try different inputs.  I 
suspect that it will work OK.
