No. It *won't* boot with the powercord plugged into the main and into the
powerbook.
It will boot with the powercord *not* plugged into the main yet plugged
into the powerbook

I also thought that was possible, but it I took it apart and the ribbons
and connectors seem fine.

Any key on the keyboard does not work in any way. No lights from the Caps
Lock key.
>So, how do you turn on the computer? With the Power key on the keyboard?
The powerkey and the trackpad work
>Have you tried hooking up an external keyboard (ADB IIRC)?
Yes, but they don't have function keys.

Returning to my conundrum about dissassembly... I can get the keyboard
out and the heatsink off. I cannot get the bottom off to check for a
loose connection.
>Hey <light bulb goes on>! Have you tried that? Removing *both* the back-up

Will try that when I have time. Is the backup battery accessible via
keyboard removal?
>PS I should have the "ta=ke ap-art" manual for it sitting around somewhere

Will be away for a week anyway. Won't get back to it before the 19th.
