[muglo] Re: A Powerbook G3

So it *does* boot with the powercord in and juice flowing.

What does it *not* do right now? It seems like the only thing that doesn't
work is the keyboard. Is it possible that the keyboard isn't plugged in
properly? If you press the Caps Lock key, does the little light under the
key light up (if Caps Lock on the Wallstreet behaves that way)?

So, how do you turn on the computer? With the Power key on the keyboard?

Have you tried hooking up an external keyboard (ADB IIRC)? There must be
other ways to reset the power manager that don't require the use of the "Fn"
key. IIRC it involves removing a back-up battery whilst you remove the main
battery.

Hey <light bulb goes on>! Have you tried that? Removing *both* the back-up
battery and the main battery at the same time and leaving the computer
sitting for an hour or two?

PS I should have the "ta=ke ap-art" manual for it sitting around somewhere
(though, you may have to wait until after the 22nd) if you don't already
have it.

I have no idea what you mean with a "voltage thing". I'm also not convinced
that it's necessarily _faulty_ hardware. It could be a loose connection.

Yes, that's the button I referred to. You press it to see how much charge is
present in the battery. It should light up when charging.

Eric.
