I just looked into this the other day. I found sources of Google for  
a box that does RCA in and Firewire out. It was about $250  US.  
You'llneed to weigh the cost  against having a service... say Stan C  
Reade, do it, for upwards of $35 a pop.

The biggest problem is technology gap of getting the analog to digital.
