Hmm... I don't know if you as a regular user are allowed to change, or even
view, the profile settings as this is a domain admin Active
Directory-privilege. I still insist och checking with your Sysadmin on this.

You can however check your downloaded profile on your own computer for a
file called ntuser.man. If it's there, your user account is using a
mandatory profile and no changes will be saved, while if there is a
ntuser.dat file, any settings you make to your profile will/should be saved
upon logoff.

Yes, but he goes to a lot of different buildings and is not often
available.
Thanks!

Do you have a sysadmin at your place? It would be the easiest thing to
ask him
or her.

Is your user account set to save the profile to somewhere special? Ie,
is
the appropriate field on your account filled in with a profile-path?

Is your user profile a mandatory profile? Changes in those don't get
saved.

Note that your local accounts don't do this, they only support local
profile
saves.

A little more info from your part would be helpful! 8-)

Subject: [mswindowsxp] windows xp with roming profiles

Hello,
I have a windows xp client that is a member of a domain. I use a
roming
profile. When I logoff, changes made to the profile are not saved.
What
can I do about this?
