Which version of Word are you using?
If it's Word 97 or 2000, at the bottom of the mail merge window you see a
button beside the Merge button that says "Query Options". Click on that
and you can click on the Filter Options tab in there and choose the field
you created in Access and make it " not egual to" whatever value you put in
the records for the ones that have already been sent.
If you are using Word 2002 or 2003, to get to this box, go to Step 3 of the
Mail Merge. Then click on "Edit Recipient List" in your Task Pane. You
will see dropdown arrows at the top of each column. Click on any arrow and
choose "Advanced")

Subject: [mso] word - How to see which adresses have been used in mailmerge
Hello to all!
Does anyone now how you can store the adresses used in a mailmerge?
I have a access database, where I get my addresses from. I made a mail
merge in word. So now I am able to select multiple addresses and make
word merge them. I would like to store the addresses, so I can see whom
I sent a (snail!) mail already. The way I think is best, is to creat an
extra column in the access table, saying which ID has already been
mailed.. and somehow not display the already mailed ones in word. The
question is, how can I do a query or something like that in word, so
that this information will be stored in the database?
I hope this explanation of my problem is clear enough..
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Franz-Robert van Vugt
