[mso] *.vob files and PowerPoint

Are there any special tricks in inserting video files into PowerPoint? I =
have a 416 MB file I am trying to play within PowerPoint. I inserted the =
movie onto a slide, but it only plays 36 seconds of the 10-minute movie. =
We are using PowerPoint 2000.
