Outlook does store information in the registry, but it can be very hard to get at. I've been doing some trawling on the net and it appears that the registry key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles Under there, should be a key called "Outlook" if you only have one Outlook profile for the user (which is the default). Now this key has lots of machine-readable stuff that describes the e-mail profile for the current user, but I haven't found any information on decoding it. However ... if you configure your e-mail for one pupil, with the Outlook.pst file in a location common to all users, then close Outlook and then export the registry key, you're hopefully getting a copy of everything you need. Then login as a different pupil and double click the registry export to load it. I've got a suspicion Outlook will be configured the way you want it. The pupils would still each need to load the registry information, but that sure beats manually configuring Outlook. Disclaimer - not tested, just hopeful.
